£10,000+ IN PRIZES - THANK YOU, BRICK DROP COMMUNITY
In our first six months, Brick Drop has produced: 🏆 More than 180 winners 🎁 More than £11,500 worth of prizes 🧱 A growing community of LEGO and brick fans And we really could not have done any of it without you.
Somehow, Brick Drop is six months old.
That feels slightly ridiculous to write because in some ways it feels like we only launched yesterday — and in others, an awful lot has happened since then.
What started as an idea between two LEGO fans in Worcestershire has now reached a milestone we are genuinely incredibly proud of.
In our first six months, Brick Drop has produced:
🏆 More than 180 winners
🎁 More than £11,500 worth of prizes
🧱 A growing community of LEGO and brick fans
And we really could not have done any of it without you.
When we started Brick Drop, the idea was pretty simple.
We loved LEGO, we enjoyed competitions, and we thought there was room for something that combined the two while keeping the odds sensible, the draws transparent and the whole thing feeling a little more personal.
Six months later, more than 180 prizes and wins have gone out through Brick Drop.
That is probably the number that means the most to us.
Every one represents someone seeing their number come up, getting that winner notification or finding an Instant Win hiding behind their ticket.
We have sent out huge collector sets, retired sets, new releases, smaller builds, Instant Wins, site credit and plenty more along the way.
And we still genuinely enjoy seeing each winner come through.
Only recently we celebrated passing £10,000 worth of prizes.
And somehow we are already beyond £11,500.
It is quite strange looking back at that figure and thinking about all the boxes that have passed through Brick Drop HQ over the last six months.
Some prizes have barely arrived before being packed up again and sent to a winner.
Others have been considerably harder to let go of. 👀
But seeing them heading out to people who genuinely wanted them is still one of the best parts of running Brick Drop.
Especially when the photos start coming back afterwards.
One thing we hoped for from the beginning was that Brick Drop could become more than somewhere you simply buy a ticket.
That is starting to happen.
We now have people sharing their wins, posting builds, joining us for the live draws, chatting in the community and suggesting sets they would like to see in future competitions.
Our new website has helped us push that even further with the Activity Feed, member profiles and this very blog.
We love seeing familiar names appearing each week, but we also love seeing new people joining and getting involved for the first time.
Brick Drop is still small enough that we notice those things.
And we want to keep it that way as we grow.
It has definitely been a learning curve.
We have tried different competition formats, different prizes and a few ideas that probably sounded slightly mad when we first discussed them.
Some have become regular features.
Others have taught us what to do differently next time.
We have hunted down retired sets, jumped on new releases, tried alternative brick brands and occasionally bought something for a competition that we immediately wanted to keep ourselves.
But that experimentation is part of what makes running Brick Drop fun.
We do not want every week to look exactly the same.
We couldn't really let our six-month anniversary go by without doing something.
So we have launched our BrickVersary6 promotion. 🎂🧱
Spend over 99p on the site and use code:
BrickVersary6
to receive 20% off your order.
The offer is live now and ends Thursday 29th October.
Consider it our little anniversary present to you — which is considerably better than us buying ourselves a cake and eating it.
Although we may still do that too.
This is the bit that matters.
Whether you have been with us from the first few competitions or discovered Brick Drop last week:
Thank you.
Thank you to everyone who has bought a ticket.
Thank you to everyone who has shared one of our posts.
Thank you to the people who join the live draws.
Thank you to everyone who posts their prizes and builds.
Thank you to those who recommend us to friends.
And thank you to the people who keep coming back week after week.
Brick Drop is run by a husband-and-wife team. There is no huge company sitting behind it.
Every order, winner, message, suggestion and bit of support genuinely makes a difference to us.
More prizes.
More winners.
More retired-set hunting.
More new releases.
More experiments.
More community posts.
And, judging by the last six months, probably considerably more cardboard boxes than we have room for.
We have plenty of ideas for where Brick Drop goes next, but the basic aim has not changed:
Great prizes, sensible odds, fair draws and a community built around people who love bricks as much as we do.
Six months down.
180+ winners and £11,500+ in prizes later, we're only getting started.
Thank you for being part of it. ❤️🧱

There are always new releases appearing, older sets we would love to track down and plenty of ideas being thrown around, so choosing what makes it onto the site is not always as straightforward as it looks.
The Sets We’d Probably Keep for Ourselves… 👀Running Brick Drop means we get to buy some brilliant LEGO sets.
