Welcome to the new Brick Drop website

The new Brick Drop website is officially live, and we are really excited to finally have everything up and running.

Moving to the new platform was about much more than simply giving the site a fresh look. We wanted to make Brick Drop easier to use, give members more ways to get involved and start building more of a genuine LEGO community around the competitions.

So, if you have not had a proper look around yet, here is what is new.

First Things First – Getting Into Your Account

If you already had a Brick Drop account before we moved to the new website, your account has been transferred across.

When logging in for the first time, you may need to reset your password.

Simply:

  • Head to the login page

  • Select Forgot Password

  • Enter the email address connected to your Brick Drop account

  • Follow the link sent to your inbox and create a new password

If the email does not appear straight away, have a quick look in your junk or spam folder too.

Once you are in, it is worth taking a few minutes to have a look around because there is quite a bit that has changed.

Your Own Brick Drop Profile

One of the biggest additions is member profiles.

You can now create your own profile, add a profile picture and become a more visible part of the Brick Drop community.

This is something we really wanted from the new website.

Brick Drop has always been about the people entering our competitions as much as the prizes themselves, and profiles help make the site feel less like somewhere you simply buy a ticket and leave.

You can start recognising other members, seeing what people are building and getting involved in conversations around the hobby we all enjoy.

And, of course, if you would rather keep your profile private, you can do that too.

The Brick Drop Activity Feed

This might be our favourite addition.

The new activity feed gives everyone their own space to post and interact directly on the Brick Drop website.

We would love to see it filled with LEGO.

Finished a build? Post it.

Picked up a new set? Show us.

Got a LEGO room or display you are proud of? We want to see it.

Won something from Brick Drop? Definitely show that off.

You can use the activity feed to share:

  • Completed builds

  • Work-in-progress builds

  • LEGO shopping hauls

  • Collections and displays

  • Winner photos

  • Unboxings

  • New purchases

  • Favourite sets

  • General LEGO chat

And you do not have to win something from us before you can post.

The feed is there for everyone.

Our aim is for it to become a genuine little Brick Drop community where members recognise each other, share what they are building and celebrate each other's wins.

So if you have not posted yet, jump in and introduce yourself.

A New Home for the Brick Drop Blog

If you are reading this, you have already found another new addition.

The Brick Drop blog gives us somewhere to share more than we can fit into a normal social media post.

We will be using it for behind-the-scenes content from running Brick Drop, including things like:

  • LEGO shopping trips

  • Prize hauls

  • New stock arriving

  • How we choose competitions

  • Competition setup

  • Packing winners' prizes

  • New LEGO releases

  • Winner stories

  • Member builds

  • Brick Drop updates

There is actually a surprising amount that happens behind the scenes before a competition appears on the website, and we want to start sharing more of that with you.

It will also give us the chance to feature members of the community and some of the brilliant builds and collections you share with us.

Keep Track of Your Competitions

Your account now gives you a much clearer view of your activity on Brick Drop.

You can keep track of your entries, see your ticket numbers and follow the competitions you have entered without having to hunt through old emails.

We wanted the new site to make entering simpler and give you much better visibility of everything connected to your account.

See Our Winners

Our winners now have their own dedicated area on the website.

You can see who has won previous competitions and which prizes have already headed out to their new homes.

For us, this is an important part of Brick Drop.

Seeing somebody win is one thing, but seeing that prize arrive, get opened and eventually built is even better.

That is why we would love winners to share their photos back through the activity feed as well.

It means the whole community gets to follow the journey from competition page to someone's LEGO shelf.

Live Draws and the Brick Drop Community

Our live draws remain an important part of what we do.

Rather than simply announcing a winning number somewhere afterwards, we want members to be able to join us for the draws and be part of that moment.

We will continue promoting upcoming live draws through the website and our social channels, particularly within the Brick Drop community.

Even if you have not entered that night's competitions, you are always welcome to join us.

There is something slightly addictive about watching somebody else's number come out... although obviously it is much better when it is yours.

A Website We Can Build On

Probably the biggest reason for making the move was what the new website allows us to do next.

Brick Drop is still a young business and we have plenty of ideas.

We wanted a platform that could grow with us rather than simply being somewhere we listed competitions.

The competitions will obviously always be at the heart of Brick Drop, but we want to build more around them: the blog, member profiles, the activity feed, winner content and a community of people who genuinely enjoy LEGO.

We are still learning what works and there will undoubtedly be more changes and additions along the way.

And we want the community to be part of that too.

If there is something you love about the new site, tell us.

If you think something could be better, tell us that as well.

Some of the best ideas for where Brick Drop goes next will hopefully come from the people actually using it.

Come and Have a Look Around

If you have not explored everything yet, have a wander around.

Set up your profile, have a look through the blog, check out the latest competitions and, most importantly, jump into the activity feed and say hello.

Post a build.

Show us your collection.

Share your latest LEGO purchase.

Or just tell us what set you think we should be giving away next.

We want the new Brick Drop website to feel like your community as much as it is our competition site.

Thanks, as always, for being part of it.
